Hutchinson Tyres Established in 1853 by Hiram Hutchinson in Chalette-sur-Loing, Hutchinson first developed coated fabrics under the brand «Aigle». In 1890, Hutchinson starts to produce bicycle tyres. The company wins its first competition with Léon Georget in 1909 thanks to the ‘Monofil’ tyre. The greatest names in the world of cycling then bring the brand to the highest level, with victories in the most famous races like the Tour de France.

Fast forward to 1999. Hutchinson and two partners create UST (Universal System Tubeless) the first performance tubeless standard for bicycles. To this day Hutchinson has been pioneering standards in tyre technology with an ever increasing range including, Road, City/Urban, MTB, e-Bike and Gravel disciplines.

Hutchinson is the only bicycle tyre company still manufacturing its products in France and is also home to our Racing Lab, where engineers work alongside our pro athletes to create and refine new tyre designs and technologies to perform in the most demanding competitive settings.
