Earlier this year Colnago launched the Steelnovo Settanta, a steel masterpiece limited to 70 bikes, celebrating Colnago’s 70th anniversary.
Today, Colnago introduces the Steelnovo in two new vibrant colour choices. These finishes share the same technical excellence as the 70th Anniversary edition. The Columbus tubes and 3D printed steel lugs are identical, and production remains entirely handcrafted and strictly made in Italy.
Although this is not a numbered, limited edition bicyle like the Settanta, only 400 bikes can be produced each year,.
Each frame requires a full day of artisanal craftsmanship.
The Steelnovo is the material of the past, reimagined and brought into the present day. It is tradition meeting modernity. The Steelnovo features custom made Columbus steel tubes, developed exclusively for this project, combined with 3D printed steel lugs and a carbon fork.
Columbus are Colnago’s historic partner, with whom the brand’s most iconic and prestigious steel models have been built; from the Super to the Master.
The shapes of the tubes blend into each other without visible welds, thanks to precision welding work. The Steelnovo features innovative 3D printed lugs, which allow a perfect fit in the frame with an accuracy of less than a hundreth of a millimetre.
The cables are fully integrated, for a modern look, and the Steelnovo is compatible with modern electronic groupsets and disc brakes. It features the UDH standard, and tire clearance up to 35mm.
This Steelnovo is for those seeking not just a bicycle, but a piece of Colnago’s history to take on the road, where past and future converge with every pedal stroke.
