We’re back to introduce our second UK Urge ambassadors for one of our newest brands \u2013 Urge Bike Products<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we mentioned in the previous interview, Urge isn\u2019t like any other helmet brands. It\u2019s a company that puts the environment first<\/strong> in everything they do, from manufacturing and packaging right down to their contribution towards environmental causes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a result, the focus for our campaign was to recruit individuals that not only loved riding bikes, but also cared for the environment too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This week, we chat to Chloe Parker<\/strong>, a keen mountain biker from the Lake District who, along with a posse of passionate environmentalists, is already making waves when it comes to sustainability in mountain biking.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Welcome to the Urge team! We\u2019re super stoked to have you on board\u2026 We\u2019re keen to introduce our new ambassadors to everyone, so we\u2019ve put together a few questions to get us started.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tell us who you are in a few words\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m Parker, a 24 year old environmental activist, gardener, mountain biker living in the Lake District.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What bike do you ride? Can you give us a rundown on your steed(s)\u2026<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I’m currently riding a Specialized Stumpjumper Alloy 2021 model with a few upgrades.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are some of your favourite places to ride?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Without a doubt my favourite place to ride is the English Lake District, the mountains here offer so much variety of natural trails and opportunities for big days out in a beautiful environment. I’ve also ridden some amazing trails up in Scotland but Innerleithen in particular is high up on the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You\u2019ve been picked as an Urge ambassador because you put the planet first in a lot of what you do\u2026 Can you explain to us in a few words what your stance is on the protection of our environment and how you approach it?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My stance has always been to protect the places that I love and for me that is all wild spaces. As an A-Team ambassador for Trash Free Trails I try to inspire people to get out and connect with the world around them whether that’s through riding, running, roaming and find that connection again in the hope that more people will be willing to protect those spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the same subject \u2013 if you had one rule\/legislation all cycling brands had to adhere to in order to make the industry greener, what would it be?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Single-use pollution is a major issue across all industries so the one rule I would suggest is that all packaging should be fully recyclable and absolutely necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who\u2019s your favourite rider? Or biggest influence in the world of cycling?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My favourite rider is Yoann Barelli, not only does he push the limits but he’s also passionate about the environment and keeping the trails clean.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Urge helmet range is made up of 80% recycled materials, and 100% radness. Which one\u2019s your favourite?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Gringo de la Sierra for sure, its super comfy and the modular chinguard is so easy to change. The fact it is also made up of 80% recycled materials is phenomenal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What are you riding plans\/goals for the next year?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

My main riding goal is to have more fun and explore more places as I’ve only been mountain biking a year so I’ve got a lot of catching up to do. I’m also really excited to enter my first Enduro race this year and hopefully there will be more to come.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
