What a great few days we’ve had up in Whittlebury Hall for the 2022 edition of COREbike Show. It’s been a while since our last trade show and it was great to finally put the band back together to catch up with our dear colleagues, dealers and friends.

We had plenty of new products to show our dealers this time around. Some were already launched but we hadn’t had a chance to show them in public, and some we premiered at the show.

COREbike Show - Windwave 35th Anniversary

Of course (and before we take a closer look at our latest product releases), COREbike Show was our first opportunity to kick start our 35th Anniversary celebrations as we handed out our Windwave x Lowtide Coffee Co collab ground coffee bags to a few of our dealers… So we can get a ‘whoop whoop’!

COREbike Show – New Products

Dainese’s Helmet Range

Whilst the official launch of Dainese’s brand-new helmet range happened a little while ago, it’s only been a couple of weeks since stock landed in the UK. Perfect opportunity to let our dealers take a closer look, and really feel the weight difference vs the competition too!

The Dainese Linea 01 full face helmet truly is super lightweight, yet it feels solid and safe when on. A true market-leading product in our opinion.

COREbike Show - DVO Suspension

DVO New Fork Decals

Our favourite suspension product brand has started introducing new fork decals on a rolling-change basis. COREbike Show was the perfect opportunity to showcase the new designs, as well as highlight some of our most popular forks: The Diamond D1, Diamond D2 and Onyx E-Bike fork.

Another new update from DVO is around their Topaz shock. They’ve recently introduced the Topaz 2, which has been optimised to suit the needs of modern suspension kinematics working off a lower leverage ratio.

Prevelo Kids Bikes

We signed our distribution deal with Prevelo last summer, and have our first drop of kids bikes coming very soon, so we thought we’d wet the appetite by showing off some of our sample bikes over at COREbike Show.

On display were the Alpha Four (24″ urban kids bike), Zulu Two (16″ kids mountain bike) and Zulu One (12″ kids mountain bike).

COREbike Show - Morgan Blue

Morgan Blue

We recently worked on revamping the Morgan Blue marketing assets for the UK, with new e-commerce and lifestyle photography as well as an A5 foldable brochure and A2 product guide poster.

It was great to be able to present this to our UK Morgan Blue dealers as we look forward to a successful 2022 with the brand.

High5 Isotonic Hydration and Electrolyte Energy Gels

We launched High5’s new Isotonic Hydration and Electrolyte Gels for the UK only a couple of days before CORE, so it was great to display those in real life alongside the rest of the High5 Sports Nutrition range.

Not only that, but having those products displayed on the proper High5 POS display made a difference too, showing our dealers how the range will look in their store. Watch out for one of the best sports nutrition brands hitting your local bike shop soon!

Hutchinson Tundra

COREbike Show saw the Hutchinson Tundra make its trade debut with an official public launch on the Tuesday 22nd.

COREbike Show - Hutchinson Tundra

The Tundra is Hutchinson’s new gravel tyre, designed to withstand the more hardcore conditions (rooty, muddy, off-camber) all the while providing great performance levels on the smoother surfaces too.

The design of the knobs has been studied at length to offer great traction on soft and greasy ground. The tyre comes with Tubeless Ready construction, which optimises grip and comfort at low pressure. In terms of reliability, nothing to fear from irregularities in the terrain thanks to the integral Hardskin reinforcement.

There was great interest on the Tundra and you can expect to see hit your local bike shop racks soon!

THOK Dream Kit

The star of the show was probably the launch of THOK’s Dream Kit. The Dream Kit is a E-MTB chassis kit based on either the TK01 or MIG frames.

THOK Dream Kit

The frames come kitted out with Öhlins suspension (RXF 36 M2 fork / TTX1 shock for the MIG and RXF 38 M2 fork / TTX2 shock for the TK01), Shimano EP8 drive unit and system, as well as FSA cranks and chainring, headset on sealed bearings, THOK aluminium stem, saddle clamp, chain guide, carbon fibre engine cover; THOK saddle and handlebar grips.

It doesn’t stop there either. Each kit comes with a Dream Box with THOKcare (i.e. extended warranty), various exclusive accessories and a uniqueness certificate.

COREbike Show - THOK Dream Kit

We displayed the MIG Dream Kit as it comes out of the box, but we wanted to show what a finished kit would look like, so we treated the TK01 Dream Kit to the full Windwave treatment: ANVL handlebar, Hutchinson tyres, Granite tubeless valves, SRAM GX Eagle AGX drivetrain and Hope wheels and brakes.

… And that about wraps up our COREbike Show highlights! For more info, feel free to email us at sales@windwave.co.uk.
